Dosing systems
DOPAG single component dosing systems are available in several
formats, depending on a number of factors, such as the required
volume of the shot to be dosed and the viscosity of the media.
All dosing systems require either a drum or transfer pump to
feed the media from the original container, under pressure to the
dosing station, where the media is metered by either a metering
valve or by means of an electronic volume counter system.
DOPAG have a comprehensive range of metering valves for use with
dosing systems that are used to apply accurately metered shots of
media in many different processes and in a variety of industries,
from the application of precision shots of oil or grease onto
automotive components to dosing silicone into cartridges.
DOPAG metering valves are available in three different designs, all
of which work on a volumetric principle. These metering valves can
handle all types of media from low to high viscosity, such as
adhesives, sealants, greases, oils, pastes and silicones. All DOPAG
metering valves are pneumatically actuated and cover metered shot
volumes of between 0.001ml and 100ml.
For dosing systems that
require volumes above 100ml, an option is to employ the electronic
volume counter system, which has unlimited volumetric metering
capacity and is particularly suitable for such applications as
engine or gearbox filling. Its integral metering feedback
verification system makes it an ideal solution for use with
automated assembly applications.
